Background
Kate Duffy is the Founder and Managing Director of Junction Point CIC, an organisation that supports changemakers to start and grow not-for-profits and purpose-led organisations. This includes delivering coaching, consultancy, accredited and non-accredited courses and events.
Since 2009 Kate has worked across the charity, social enterprise and international development sectors, supporting organisations to develop strategy, strengthen business models and secure funding. Through her work she supports hundreds of people each year create sustainable organisations working toward long-term change.
Kate is the founder of the North East Changemakers community, a growing network that connects and supports people creating positive change across the region. She also represents Newcastle in the Social Enterprise UK Places programme, working with partners to strengthen the local social enterprise ecosystem.
Kate has also co-developed a nationally unique qualification pathway for social enterprise development in partnership with Durham University Business School, including the UK’s only dedicated Level 5 qualification designed specifically for social enterprise advisers.
