Background
The North East Cyber Protect Network consists of Cyber Protect Officers within the North East Regional Cyber Crime Unit (NERCCU) and our three North East Police Forces, Cleveland, Durham and Northumbria. We work to deliver a National Strategy set in collaboration with key partners such as the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
Our aim is to reduce the likelihood of businesses in the North East from becoming victims of cybercrime and we are here to assist in any way we can. Put simply, we want to reduce the number of victims of crime.
The good news is, a lot of common attacks can be prevented by doing the basics. We’re here to tell you what those basics are (and more). We offer advice on defending yourself against common attacks as well as how to be better prepared to recover from an attack. We offer staff training to spot common threats, 1 to 1 sessions, presentations and workshops – amongst other things. If you want to ask us a question, please get in touch.
