Background
Don’t let a crisis ruin your business. We all hope that it won’t happen to us but nearly one in five businesses suffer disruption every year. You can’t stop it happening, but you can help protect your business by putting together a business continuity plan.
By looking at your business or organisation and producing a plan, you will have a framework of co-ordinated and effective actions to follow if a crisis occurs.
The City Council’s Resilience Planning Team can offer your organisation support and advice on how to make your business more resilient and help you be prepared against the impact of disruption. Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a process that helps manage risks to the smooth running of an organisation or delivery of a service, ensuring continuity of critical functions in the event of a disruption, and effective recovery afterwards.
