Background
After studying Law at Northumbria University and working for different law firms in the region, Ben has evolved his legal background to now works for Tees Global and specialises in international trade. Using his legal background and international trade training, Ben is able to sieve through information to find the most relevant to his target audience and relay the information in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner.

Ben supports businesses from various sectors across the whole Northern Powerhouse to help them understand the new UK-EU relationship and how to trade around the world. He works closely with Department for Business & Trade and is currently working on behalf of Tees Valley and West Yorkshire Combined Authorities, N.E. LEP and North East Chamber of Commerce. Ben has provided guidance to businesses via 1-2-1 meetings and 1-2-many events, as well as providing direct B2B training to businesses.

Additionally, Ben is a regular contributor and editor of Horizon – North East, the only international trade focused magazine in the region.

Ben can help a business to overcome their hurdles, make the most of an opportunity and, map out the different options which are available to their business.
